Applicants should prepare documentary proofs as follows. 

• Original copy of vehicle registration. 
• Motor insurance certificate (the period of valid insurance must be over 30 days).

• Vehicle registration fee is NT$ 200.
• Applicants with outstanding traffic violations, unpaid Highway Usage, Maintenance, and Safety Management Charges, License Tax, or penalties under the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Act must settle all outstanding debts prior to application. 
• Those who miss the assigned inspection date need to conduct a periodic inspection first. Those whose stolen vehicle is found need to apply for vehicle inspection at highways supervision authorities first. If they pass this inspection, they can apply for renewal of vehicle registration.
