The Highway Bureau is committed to provincial highway engineering, highway transportation management and highway supervision, simplifying administration and facilitating the people. The business scope is divided into three categories: road engineering, road transportation and road supervision, providing convenient and safe services for the public.
Service Items

Documents should be prepared:

  1. The identity certificate of the vehicle owner:
    • Registration in the name of an individual: the original national ID card (or military ID card or residence permit for foreigners).
    • Registration in the name of the company and bank number: the official document (including the registration form for the company) approved by the company and bank number authority for registration or the registration certificate issued by the company and bank number authority, and the uniform number assigned by the financial and taxation authority should be provided . However, if the certification documents submitted for inspection are photocopies, the company and the company number must also submit a photocopy of the most recent business tax payment certification documents.
    • Registration in the name of an agency, school or group: official certification documents of the agency, school or group, and a uniform number assigned by the financial and taxation agency.
    • Register in the name of the person performing the business: a photocopy of the identity card of the person in charge of the business execution and a certificate issued by the practice certificate or a certificate issued by the association, and a unified number allocation notice shall be submitted.
  2. Seal.
  3. Vehicle license.
  4. License plate: Two vehicle plates, one motorcycle plate, or two plates for large heavy motorcycle with a cubic capacity exceeding 550 cm³.
  5. If a vehicle owner entrusts an agent to handle these matters, please enclose the agent's ID card.

Fees:

  1. Free
  2. If the inspection date is more than one month past the designated inspection date, a fine of NT$900 for over-inspection and a fine of NT$1,300 for business vehicles shall be paid.

Matters needing attention:

  1. If there is a violation or arrears of taxes and fees, it should be settled first (if the payment is made within the last month, please attach a receipt).
  2. The suspension shall not exceed one year, and the license shall be cancelled after the deadline.
  3. If the license of the car has been handed in or returned to the supervision office due to revocation, cancellation, suspension, or has been scrapped, the insurance contract can be terminated in accordance with Article 21, Item 2 of the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Law, and it is necessary to apply for a mandatory automobile For liability insurance refunds, please contact the original insurance company directly, or go to the insurance service counter assigned to our firm (or our Lingya or Cishan Supervision Station) to handle (receive).
