Highway Bureau, MOTC
The Highway Bureau is committed to provincial highway engineering, highway transportation management and highway supervision, simplifying administration and facilitating the people. The business scope is divided into three categories: road engineering, road transportation and road supervision, providing convenient and safe services for the public.
Service Items
  1.  Credit Card Payments: A service fee will be charged for each transaction (calculated per vehicle and per year). Please contact your card-issuing bank for the specific service fee amount.
  2.  Online and Mobile App: Payments can be made via the Motor Vehicle Driver Information Service (MVDIS) website (https://www.mvdis.gov.tw) or the MVDIS App.
  3.  In-Person Payments: Please present your payment notice for Highway Usage, Maintenance, and Safety Management Charges at any financial institution, post office, convenience store (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, OK-Mart), or Motor Vehicles Office.
  4. Telephone Payment Instructions:To make a payment by telephone, dial 412-1366, enter your user code, and then press 169#. If you are using a mobile phone, add the area code 02 before the hotline, so you should dial 02-412-1366, followed by your user code and 169#. For overseas calls, add the country code 886, which means you should dial 8862-412-1366, then enter your user code and 169#. In areas where phone numbers consist of six digits, please dial 41-1366, then enter your user code and 169#. After completing these steps, follow the voice instructions to finish the payment process.
  5. ATM Transfer: Payments can be made at any ATM using a debit card. (Note: A service fee will be charged for inter-bank transactions).
  6. Direct Debit (Automatic Transfer): If you hold a demand deposit account with a financial institution, you may apply for automatic payment. Simply complete the Letter of Authorization for the Direct Debit of Highway Usage, Maintenance, and Safety Management Charges (attached to the payment notice), then mail it to your local Motor Vehicles Office. Automatic deductions will commence from the next billing period.
