Documents should be prepared:

1. The identity certificate of the vehicle owner:
   • Registration in the name of an individual: the original national ID card (or military ID card or residence permit for foreigners).
   • Registration in the name of the company and bank number: the official document (including the registration form for the company) approved by the company and bank number authority for registration or the registration certificate issued by the company and bank number authority, and the uniform number assigned by the financial and taxation authority should be provided . However, if the certification documents submitted for inspection are photocopies, the company and the company number must also submit a photocopy of the most recent business tax payment certification documents.
   • Registration in the name of an agency, school or group: official certification documents of the agency, school or group, and a uniform number assigned by the financial and taxation agency.
   • Register in the name of the person performing the business: a photocopy of the identity card of the person in charge of the business execution and a certificate of practice or a certificate issued by the association to which it belongs, and a unified number allocation notice shall be provided.

3. Theft and cancellation of the transaction registration form and the owner's page.
4. The owner's copy of the new license registration certificate for the original automobile (motorcycle).
5. The police vehicle recovery certificate.
6. License plate (exempt for those not found).
7. Two new license registration certificates for automobiles (motorcycles) that have passed the inspection.
8. Compulsory automobile liability insurance certificate (the insurance period must be more than 30 days).

Fees:

1. Inspection fee: NT$600 for large cars, NT$450 for small cars, NT$450 for trailers, NT$200 for locomotives.
2. License plate tax: NT$600 for cars, NT$300 for locomotives, NT$400 for trailers.
3. Vehicle license fee: NT$200 for automobile (tow) and NT$150 for locomotive (if the fuel fee for locomotive should be paid at the same time).

Matters needing attention:

1. The vehicle should pass the inspection.
2. There are cases of violations and the outstanding use license tax and fuel usage fee should be settled first, and the license tax and fuel usage fee of the current year should be settled at the same time.
3. Those who have applied for a temporary license must return the temporary license.
4. Commercial vehicles, self-use large vehicles, self-use minivans and other regulated vehicles shall be handled in accordance with relevant regulations.
5. It is necessary to complete the registration of "Vehicle Found and Cancellation".
